I saw a post on Craigslist Los Angeles-Westside Southbay with the description "I Have some Corgi puppies for rehome almost 8 week old vet checked asking fee 500 each no health issue 7742334144" and a picture of a brown/black Pembroke Welshi Corgi puppy with a Christmas-y chew toy. He was on a gray/white/black carpet and there were two feet wearing black boots sitting behind him. I texted this person and said I wanted to adopt one of the puppies and they said "8weeks old up to dates with shots and deworming. Registered. Have all records and papers. So friendly with other pets and love to be around with kids. So active and playfull have great temperament". They confirmed the price and then said there was a $150 confirmation fee that was refundable and the rest ($350) on pickup. I asked how to get them the money and they said Venmo was fine. They sent me the venmo name @cryskinter and said the last 4 digits were 6026 and said to put an emoji in the description and asked for a screenshot once I had sent the money. I sent a screenshot once I had and asked if we were set and they said yes and they would see me Saturday. At 2 points in the text conversation, they said they were working and busy. I asked for the address for pickup (we had agreed to the upcoming Saturday at 11AM) and then they ghosted me. I called and texted repeatedly and was ignored. I tried to request my money back on Venmo and only received error messages. There was another Craiglist posting for the other puppy that said "Available few pure breed Corgi puppies for rehome almost 8 week old they are litter box trained asking 500 each {{ Text (774) 233... 41. .44 }}" that had been flagged when I went back to check.
