Was hired by this company for a data entry administrative job. Before i gave them any personal information, I inquired about their viability as an employer. They responded with the following “CryptoExploite, is an officially registered company with EIN Number: 93-0861601 , Business Started in the year 2015, located in new York. we are currently renovating our newly bought office property in new York which will be lunched before the end of this year and will be visible on google. The company’s system, including support service, works 24 hours, which means you are always welcome to contact our experts in case you have any questions.”. I was asked to provide account information to do direct deposit. They sent me a “one time only” hard copy check to buy supplies. I deposited the check and it appeared to have cleared my bank so I went ahead and bought the supplies. They then contacted me and requested I transfer bitcoin so they can get the tracking number for the computer they would be supplying. The even sent me a YouTube video to instruct me how to do this. I performed the function. Apparently I did it so well, they sent me another even larger check. This got me suspicious so I refused it and told them I would only accept direct deposits. They pressured me and told me it was “already funded”. I continued to refuse. I called my bank to confirm the check was viable. This is when they told me it actually takes 7 business day for the full check clearing process to take effect. Ultimately, the check bounced and I have been chasing them for reimbursement. Phil Lee, my contact there, is “checking with his accountant”. The most recent communication he has asked if I had a Paypal account. I have again refused and will only accept direct deposit. All communications have been text or email. I have ALL communications if that will be helpful to your investigation.
