I won a trip apparently to Bahamas cruise (Margaritaville at sea) and hotel stay at a local mall. Free 4 day 3 nights cruise: this is what was stated : this entry card was filled out by you or for you at The Northbrook Court Mall. As one of the winners, you received a 4 day 3 night Bahamas Vacation for 2 guests Bell Channel Inn or Taino Beach Resorts Harborside. You have 18 months to take the vacation anytime (based on availability). This vacation has no association with timeshares, and is 100% transferable at anytime. On 01/04/2024 we verified the entry card was filled out by you or for you, registered the vacation on your behalf, read you the State statutes and per your request registered your round trip cruise option with Margaritaville at sea. By taking advantage of this option, you received the following:

Thank you for booking your Bahamas Vacation with Trip Assurance, we are the wholesale company responsible for booking and handling your Bahamas vacation. We have received your port and service fees totaling $278 for 2 passengers and $119.98 for your Ocean View Cabin selection. Please refer to the FAQ section within your online account to ensure you possess, or will be in possession, of proper travel documents to enter The Bahamas and re-enter The United States.

We are submitting to Paradise Cruise Lines your requested preferred travel dates of 03/21/2025 to 03/27/2025. DO NOT book your airfare until your travel dates have been confirmed. We normally receive confirmations back from the ships wholesale department within 7-10 business days (please allow a few extra days during peak travel season). Once we receive your confirmations back from Paradise Cruise Lines, we will post all confirmations in your online portal.

We will also be submitting a reservation request to all the hotels/resorts you have a choice of (confirmations based on the availability of each property at the time of booking). There is no need to make a decision at this time. We will be sending you an email with full descriptions of each property around 60-90 days prior to your travel dates, and then at that time you can choose which property you prefer to stay at, and will will cancel the other pending reservations on your behalf.

then received email like this: We do not book flights, travelers are responsible for flight arrangements. You would need to arrange flights to and from Freeport, Bahamas. Your port fees/cabin upgrade would be credited towards resort fees/taxes that would be applicable to your choice of resort. There is no way to keep the Cruise and the Stay together unless you travel within the next 3 weeks and pay everything in full upfront to be booked. The cruise line is no longer allowed to do cruise & stay vacations, starting January 1.

If you would like to cancel, we are able to provide a full refund of your port/service fee. The cruise administration fees will be retained as a credit for a future two-night cruise with Margaritaville. We are currently negotiating options that will allow you to sail on either of the ships in the future.

At first, I was to only pay for port fees and taxes. Which is fine but the deadline was approaching for confirmation and never received confirmation of the dates. Then a month later received an email stating that starting 01-01-2025 the cruise ship will not be docking or something at the port and we will be unable to get into Bahamas island for one reason or another. Attempted to speak to representative and only receive an automated message over and over again with no help. Can only communicate via email after first initiation of money/ payment has occurred. I did receive a portion of the money that I provided but did not receive all of it. I had 2 flyers like this and have all email correspondence and payments posted on invoices. Was very disappointed and had to change my vacation plans plus lose money on this trip. Word to the wise never trust a mall sweepstakes again. Radio sweepstakes are more reliable!
