I was looking to buy a puppy to make into an Emotional Support Animal because of my mental health condition. I found the website and contacted them in the “questions” to ask about shipping. They immediately texted me and tried starting the purchase process right away. I told them I just had questions at that point. They sent me the contract for the puppy in an email and asked me to Zelle them $850 so that I could purchase the puppy and so they wouldn’t sell it to anyone else. Because they’re located “in Florida” and I’m located I. Southern California, they then asked for $650 for a crate that would be used in the airplane. They assured me the $650 would be refunded if I didn’t keep the crate. I over all sent them $1500. The day before I was supposed to pick up the puppy, they reached out again and said I had to send $600 more because the crate I chose wasn’t available anymore. So they had to upgrade it. At this point it didn’t feel right and I looked up reviews on their website. It showed up as “puppy scam”. I reached back to the seller and asked to get my money back and they did not respond. I kept calling and texting them. Once they answered they still tried to convince me to send the additional $600. I am refusing to do that. And they are not refunding me my money back. They said they don’t have the money anymore. The emails they used through Zelle don’t exist anymore either. The police doesn’t want to file a police report either. And my bank can’t do anything about it.
