I first received a call from 6468595983 (NEW YORK). It was a automatic system stating that there was a warrant out for my arrest from the IRS and that I needed to pay money for my taxes. Also the system said, I will be arrested for 72 hours then hung up. I called the number back and a guy answered. He asked for my name and I told him I didn't feel comfortable with given him that information and why are you calling me. He said he needed to know my name so that he could pull up my file. I told him no again. He then said my first and last name and my address. He stated that the reasoning behind the arrest warrant and the 72 hours in jail was because my taxes were miscalculated and I owed the IRS $1,550. He said that if I called the IRS that they will issued out what I owed to my house on January 16, 2017 and another time after that and no one was home. So now this is their final warning. I asked how can you issue out a warrant if I wasn't properly notified that I owed anything. He told me that they knocked on my door twice and that was my notification. I asked for his name he said it was Bryan Burane and his i.d. number was 405710. I asked what his company's name was he stated Crime Investigators. I said are y'all the IRS he said no. I said I was going to call the IRS and he said if I do I was going to be lock up and would have to go to court and face a fine of $20,000. I asked if I could call my mom to get the money and he said no. I said if you want to get paid allow me to get the money. He said ok you have 5 minutes to do so. I called my mom but she didn't answer. I switched back over to him and told him she didn't answer. He said well we can set up a payment plan. So, I asked who would I be paying to? He said these are the procedures. Go to Walmart, CVS, etc and get a government card. Before he could finish I stopped him and told him that I wasn't able to give anything until I see proper paper work and until I speak to the IRS. After I hung up, I got a call from a 2029579898 number (WASHINGTON D.C.). I did not answer. However I tried calling the IRS, but I noticed the IRS is closed on Labor Day. I am a Army Veteran, I am ashamed that someone would do that. To be on the safe side I recorded the conversation.
