I googled Cricut Machines and an ad popped up for Cricut machines and bundles. Everything looked legit until I paid through PayPal and a private name came up. PayPal has never failed me before in reimbursement, so I put my order through. Three days later I even received a tracking number and it was due to land in my hometown in three more days. I received a notification that my package had even been delivered. Although I had been home all day and brought my mail in at the end of the day, there were only the usual letters/bills in my mailbox. I checked the tracking number again and found it very suspicious that it was being sent from a residential address in Texas when the ad said the company was in Georgia. I then tried to call the company with the phone number provided in the ad only to find it had been disconnected. So I filed a claim with PayPal. I thought it was pretty obvious it was a scam and I waited ten days for the seller to respond. At the end of the waiting period I received an email from PayPal DENYING my claim because they provided a tracking number that showed the item had been delivered. The general tracking system only gives the town where it originated from and the town where it was delivered. Therefore, on the surface it appeared a package was delivered to me.

However, I went to my local post office and asked them to run the tracking number sent to me. They confirmed that a package was sent, from Texas, and was delivered - to a completely different address than mine, but in my same town. Furthermore, this package only weighed a little over a pound. A Cricut machine weighs over ten pounds. When I called PayPal to inform them of the new information, I sent them a copy of the tracking printout and they reopened my case and reimbursed my money within hours.
