This is more of a warning or heads up.. Credit Control is partners with Resurgent Capital. Resurgent manages the accounts so basically they buy debts.. they hired.. they buy the debts.. and then Resurgent with either contact you or have Credit Control initiate the collection. When I was first contacted it was by Credit Control. As I was waiting for a judge to sign a an order, I ignored the first 2 letters and after the third I emailed Credit Control telling them it's not a collectable debt any longer and to cease contacting me. I received a letter from Resurgent letting me know they manage the account for the original creditor and they initiated a review of the inquiry either directly or from Credit Control "the current servicer of the account" I've done a lot research and know that both companies are shady and have multiple complaints filed against them. I invite you to join others by filing your complaints with the Better Business Bureau as well as the FTC. I will upload other addresses, because the address on the letters I received are different than the ones filed with the BBB.

They said they were trying to offer a settlement on a Capital One debt, but Capital One says I already paid it and that it is a scam.

I have received a call every day for months from phone number 844-822-3541, from company name "Credit Control LLC". They say that they have an important message for me, but I need to validate personal information first such as name, birthdate, property address, etc. I believe that this is a phishing scam and refuse to answer their questions and have asked them several times to stop calling.

Harassing calls 3 or 4 times a day explained the person was not at this address and didn't know them to stop calling.

I just received a phone call from credit control LLC demanding for the last 4 of my social security number demanding I verify the last two digits of the year I was born and demanding that I verify my address and Who I am and then the manager gets on the phone demanding for the last 4 of my social and then rudely hangs up on me I really truly believe that this place is a scam because every time I mentioned that I'm not going to give it to him from my privacy reasons they can't tell me that they're inside the privacy of that and they're allowed to ask to verify that i did not appreciate it I'm very upset I'm afraid that they're going to be able to commit identity theft on me they were all very very adamant about getting the last four of my social and all of my personal information
