Called to claim that I owned a vehicle in a previous state of residence claiming that I was involved (or vehicle I owned) in an automobile accident and I was responsible for $2,500.00 in damages to the injured party. Person on the phone (John Alley) told me to call back in a week for more details at a different number (Number: 877 690 6000). They knew of a past city where I rented from by the date of loss and information referred to a time period that I was not in the city, state, or area. Local police department was called and they mentioned that a police officer would attempt to reach me if this was a matter that they were investigating and that the information that I gave them sounded like a scam.
