I was contacted on January 6, 2016 stating that they were from Credit Card Services and worked in conjunction with my bank and credit card companies to help reduced the interest rate on my credit cards since my accounts are in good standing. They said they had my information and i just needed to verify a few things. When I became uncomfortable about the call and said i wished to stop the process I was told I could only do so if I provided my social security number. When I did I was then told I was eligible for another credit card at a reduced rate that would cover both my current cards. When I still wished to cancel the service I was then told that I couldn't because the process was already started and I was liable for the fees either way. They then scheduled payments and said that I would receive a call in ten days to finalize the service. I was badgered into providing my information by the supervisor, Mr James Morgan and felt i had no choice but to go through with the process. I then received a call later that evening from my credit card company stating that someone had been trying to access my information. When i informed them about the call they told me it sounded like I had been scammed and advised me to notify the credit bureau.
