I received a call from a company claiming to be from Credit Card Financial Services, Educare Company. Th caller stated her name was Stephanie Collins (866-449-6499 ext. 819) and told me I qualified for a lower interest rate on my credit card. She stated she would contact my credit card company Chase and set it up. I could get 0% for the next 15 months and then after that it would be 6.9%. She stated that I would need to pay $999 over the course of a year ($129/per month) for the change. It seemed like a good deal. She then transferred me to Jake Scott (866-456-1676 ext. 614) and he confirmed everything. They said they had my Chase account number and asked me to confirm it. I gave them the number. I was supposed to call Stephanie Collins today to finalize everything but I thought of it all night and seemed fishy.
