I saw an ad on Craigslist for a Cavapoo puppy, they asked for a phone number and then texted with information and some pictures of the puppy. They asked for half of the $500 rehoming fee via Zelle to [email protected] under the name Dwight Kelly. I sent the deposit and they then immediately asked for the other half, as someone else was interested in the same puppy and willing to send the whole amount. I declined to send, but they said it was ok. The day of the appointment came and they didn't respond to phone calls or text messages.
