I placed an ad to sell a lathe on Craigslist. I received an email from Molly at [email protected], it read: "Thanks for the response, I will be buying this from you,kindly withdraw the advert and considered it sold. My husband will overnight the payment asap but he will be paying with a certified check from his Bank and it will deliver to you via FEDEX, so I'll need you to provide me with the following information to facilitate the mailing of the check ... I received a check from FedEx, written on Dakota Heritage Bank in Gackle, ND. The check is not any good per the bank and they have had over 15 people call from across the country about that account with these checks, and for me not to deposit the check. Attached is the info I have on this scam.
