I answered an add on Craigslist for a master auto electrician. He stated he could install the electrical componets that i had purchased for my Mercedes sprinter van. He stated he would do the job at my house rather than take it to his shop. Price would be $ 125 per site visit and $125 an hour. He stated it would take 8 to 10 hours to complete the job. He would show up and walk around for a while, write things down on paper and stated he needed to go get more supplys. He would be gone for an hour or so and then stated he needed to leave. I would pay him hundreds of dollars without realizing he had not accomplished much at all. Finally he stated if i payed up front $ 3000 more he would not charge me travel fees. Reluctantly i did and that was the last time i saw him. Upon filling a police report i found out that he had stolen parts that i had supplied and he had damaged my brand new van. I had come to find out that this was a common problen/fraud that this person has committed on many people. He has reviews on Yelp describing the exact same tactics he used on me.
