We found a Class A motorhome through Craigslist. We contacted the seller on 1/27/24, which we thought was advertised in Iowa. I was told the unit was in Florida, and Iowa was the parent company. I spoke with IVETA VALDIS, representing BBA RV's & Auto Sales; I asked many questions that were all answered. We received pictures and additional pictures of an actual unit we had requested. We even received additional paperwork such as a Certificate of Title for the unit, a License Certificate for the business (BBA RVS AND AUTO SALES LLC), a warranty certificate, a State of Florida limited liability document for the company, car fax for the unit, and a State of Florida Vehicle Purchase Order. I looked up reviews and even went to the Better Business Bureau to see if this was a scam. I found nothing but good Google reviews for the business. The unit was a 2008 Winnebago Itasca Sunova 26P with the Workhorse engine in great shape at a fair price. We agreed on a price, and Iveta said that the dealership would deliver it for us, and they included the delivery charge. Iveta insisted on a wire transfer. We agreed to 1/2 down and 1/2 when it got here. I transferred the agreed upon 1/2 down and was told the unit would start delivery the next day (2/1/24) and arrive on Monday (2/5/24) at 10:00 am. Monday morning, Iveta called to say the driver had issues with the tow truck. Supposedly, the unit was being delivered by a truck and trailer. And now the delivery would be on Wednesday (2/7/24) at 11:00 am. Wednesday at 11:00 am came and went, with no delivery. I called Iveta, but there was no answer; I left a message. I called every 15 minutes for the 1st hour, no answer. My brother calls Iveta to inquire about the said unit. Iveta said it was still available; brother stated he thought it was sold, and Iveta stated the deal fell through because of financing. (This was a cash deal!) I said "Hi" and stated my name, and she hung up.

This is a scam! These people from Panama City, Florida advertise motorhomes they don't have. Beware!

The link in the email shows up as http://bit.ly/2ot5cAn Ad originally from Craigslist ROOM for RENT. Never gives a number or address, but Direct you to a website that looks very legitimate to do a credit application. Never go to a website to fill out a credit application just for a room and never saw the room or have a contact phone number. They will have many good excuses but none is a good excuse. They're collecting your social security number and will use it and destroy it.

[email protected] is the email address associated with the fake Craigslist ad. I was made aware of this fake ad by a prospective tenant, who sent an email through zillow (where I did post the housing for rent) asking whether the Craigslist ad was real or not. I flagged the ad as prohibited.

The reply email was the only thing I was able to glean from the fake Craigslist advertisement.

On May 15, 2016 my husband and I responded to a Craigslist posting for " Cuddly Tame Hand reared Baby African Grey Parrots." I negotiated with the seller to drop the price for one bird from $300 to $80. However, because my husband felt that the seller needed the money, he sent the $300. We were then asked to go to Laurel, Maryland to pick up the bird. After explaining that we could not do that, we were told that the bird would be delivered to a local Walgreens parking lot at 11:30 am May. 16th. shortly before that time frame, we received a text message that the bird would be delivered to our home.

After waiting 45 minutes for the delivery, I phoned the shipping company, Global express Shippers, Palmdale CA *( Leona Valley). I had to leave a voice message. In less than half an hour I received an email saying that the delivery truck was in Utah and requesting an additional refundable $480 for delivery insurance. I contracted the seller by email stating that I did not have the extra money canceled our order. While waiting for a reply, I contacted the Boise ScamPulse.com and discovered that the shipping companies delivered cars not birds. Boise ScamPulse.com gave me your phone number. When I called you , you unsuccessfully tried to locate the seller Mk Leo. I have not received any further E-mail from him.

However, since our conversation, I have received four telephone calls from a man whose accent was difficult to understand. During the first call, he demanded the insurance money. When I told him that I had canceled the order, he hung up. Less than half an hour later , he called again demanding the money, threatening to take legal action to get it. I called him a fraud and told him I would counter sue. He again hung up. Later that evening he called twice more. This time, I hung up.

...Early this morning , around 1 am, I received a phone call from the man from the shipping company that was suppose to deliver my bird. While his tone was polite, he again threatened me with legal action if I did not send the insurance fee. I again advised him that I would counter sue, and he hung up. Within the hour I received the first of 7 E-mails of the night from MK Leo. Each E-mail was more pitiful and pleading than the one before. Somewhere around 4 am, I created a new E-mail account under the name *** and responded to the same Craigslist advertisement. Enclosed please find the copies of those interactions. Please note that, although the E-mail address remained the same, the full name of the sender and the age of his ill son changed. however the Western Union payment address remained Laurel, Maryland.
