I applied for an apartment at Cove 2 via the property's web portal. As part of the application process, they require you to provide your bank account or debit account information to pay for the application and an exorbitant application fee, which is completely normal. They also say that once your application has been approved they will automatically deduct your security deposit, which is not normal and honestly raised some alarm bells. Well guess what? They immediately approve you for the apartment and take the security deposit. Then...nothing. I have called, emailed, texted, contacted them via their website and have not heard anything back. Another person left a google review with a similar experience; he was able to eventually get in contact with someone because he knew someone who lived at Cove, but he never received his deposit back despite being told his application had actually been denied. This is a weird situation because they are a legit business with actual apartments to rent but the way the property is managed is totally unethical.
