Received a phone call from an unknown number on 7-18-2023. A voicemail was left to return a call to Lucas but did not leave company name on the voicemail. Only left a brief message with reason for call and a phone number with case number. Also a couple family members received the same call asking for me saying that I put them down as a contact person. I called the number given on 7-19-2023 am and spoke with Lucas. The phone rang 5-6 times before he picked up and wanted me to reference my case number which I did not, he was able to look up my information with the phone number I was calling from. He proceeded to tell me that I owe a debt from a payday loan advance from back in 2012 for the amount of 800+. He didn’t offer much information beside telling me that I will need to appear in court to dispute the debt. Also that I will be served papers in the next day or two regarding this. He also told me that I should have received paperwork in the mail in February 2023. To which I never recalled receiving. He said the only way I could resolve this was to go to court to dispute it.
