Victim approached by person known to them about helping with medical debit by putting in touch with an "attorney" who could help them get "Grants" to pay off their medical bills. Attorney only texted victim, and never met in person. Victim paid $500 Dollars to get $50,000 grant, and victim kept getting excuses about them needing more money for various reason, eventually giving the scammers approximately $4,000 Dollars. Scammers used the website cordelua.com to show fake shipping information on the money. All money was paid via money orders through Western Union or MoneyGram.
