These guys called pretending to be Harris County Sherriff with a warrant for my arrest for failure to appear and contempt of court. They passed me between 3-4 different guys, had police background noise and all. Got me to buy a few Money Pak cards at Kroger and then state I would come to their office to pay at a kiosk. But first they had to verify the cards were legit and assign a pin number. This is where I should have snapped this was a hoax, but I didn't. I even had them call me from the real sherriffs office phone number. Knew my name and address, etc.

I finally caught on and called the real sherriff where they had a deputy come meet me and I had the con man on the phone still. He promptly hung up after speaking with the real officer. I feel like a complete [censored] and should have known better. Oh well I have paid my stupidity tax for 2019.
