I received a "payment now due" bill from country living magazine. My subscription does not end until April 2016, so I do NOT in fact owe them any money. When I called the company to ask why I received a bill, the representative told me to disregard the bill and that everyone who receives the magazine is billed. If I do pay the bill, they will apply it to an automatic renewal. (Which I do not want to renew after April 2016)

My concern is for the elderly or anyone else who does not keep track of when their magazine subscription expires. I almost paid them $17.00 I do not owe. This is a dishonest business practice.
