THEY SENT US AN INVOICE FOR $155.00 TO FILE OUR CORPORATIONS NAME IN FLORIDA. IT STATED THAT IT HAD TO BE DONE AS A NEW FLORIDA BUSINESS OWNER. WE SENT IT OUT ONLY TO FIND OUT THAT THERE WAS NO SUCH SERVICE.

After speaking with the State of FL the other day about fake letters I've been getting, they told me DO NOT SEND ANY MONEY to these people sending letters. I just received this one from CORPORATIONS FILING SERVICE and it was asking for our new business to fill out info on our shareholders and Annual Minutes Statement. THEN they ask for $155. They do not include anywhere on this 'official looking form' that they are NOT affiliated with the State of FL. I did a little research and this IS A SCAM!! I just hate a thief and that is exactly what they are!!!!

Received a letter asking for a "Filing Fee" of $155 for a business I had registered in FL. I almost paid it but then I questioned why there was no mention of them being the State of FL or the county. Upon checking I realized it's a scam.

We received a very officially looking document from Corporations Filing Service in the mail a few weeks after registering an LLC in Florida. It cites Florida Business Corporation Acts, and indicates that the form should be urgently returned with a $155 fee to be in compliance with the acts regarding the filing of corporate minutes. Although I am new to running a business, I figured this was a scam as LLC (unlike corporations) are not obliged to file meeting minutes. I did some digging on-line, and found that others have received the same correspondence and that a few complaints have been lodged against these imposters.

Received a letter in the mail saying that our new business was required to submit Annual Minutes Statement with the fee of $155.00. The address is the UPS store and while the Report is required to be filed the fee is not $155.00 nor is it due with in a month of the company receiving a LLC. Please never send money to a company pretending to be the State.
