Recieved a letter with IMPORTANT INFORMATION ENCLOSED, ELECTRONIC SERVICE REQUESTED, NON- GOVERNMENT AGENCY. With a warning on the bottom for a $2,000.00 fine or 5 years prison if not delivered. Says this is not a government document. Inside the letter says Business Services with annual report notice. Saying you must pay $130.00 and respond by 4/22/2025 with QR codes to access their site further to feed them more info in three corners of the document. No direct mailing address only a PO box. Main text states SOS requires every reporting entity in the state to file a timely report every year. If you do not file a report for more than 60 days past the due date, you may be at risk for penalties fines and good standing.

It says they're a third party private entity not associated, affiliated, endorsed, or approved by any government agency. "we assist in filing your annual report for a service fee and acquire clients through this mailing solicitation.

I received a letter concerning my Periodic Report from Business Services. A payment of $135.00 was being requested via check or money order. Upon attempting to locate a contact number or email for customer service, I only found an email [email protected]. Red flag, I DON’T know of any existing government agency or affiliate that uses gmail as a form of customer service contact. No payments were sent or personal information.

Received via USPS with my business name for "Periodic Report Compliance Notice". Asking for me to pay for state periodic reporting fee for $10 and periodic report filing service fee for $100. It has a record id # and a QR code to scan but no website. Asking for me to pay within 2 weeks. There is a fine print that also says they are not affiliated with any government agency and are collecting as a 3rd party service.
