I just opened a small business business and I don't even have a month and I got this letter from Corporate Compliance Services requesting a Labor Law Compliance Form to pay $84.00 by check or Money order only or could lead to fines up to $17,000 to get the Compliant Labor Law Poster that you can actually get for free from the Department of Labor. I did not see a phisical address, no email, no website, no option to pay online, no 800 number for CS. So I looked the company up and found numerous complaints to the BBB. The "company" seems as if it's working as part or for the Department of Labor. Please make sure you always investigate when someone is requesting money by mail only. With no specific information of the company. Thank God that for the ScamPulse.com that I was able to discover this information before I was able to send any money. At first sight you can genuinely fall for the scam.

I have a small business with business licenses in a couple of municipalities. I was sent the following letter in the mail implying that I must pay $84.00 for a poster, or I would be fined by the DOL. Even if I had an employee and was required to post this information, I could receive the posters for free from the government. Also, there are several possible posters that might be required. This scammer does not give any indication which ones would be required. If they are a quasi-legal business printing these posters, they are still misrepresenting the US government and failing to provide the correct posters for a given business. Please let me know if there is a government agency that should also be informed of this scam.

received a letter in the mail titled "labor law compliance request form". in a nutshell it states federal law requires a business to post a current compliant labor law poster in the workplace. "pursuant to federal law 29 USC Sec. 999 (i) & 29 USC Sec. 2005 penalties and risks of non-compliance with posting regulations can lead to potential fines in excess of $17,000 per instance, for failure to post federally required information." it goes on stating to obtain your federal employment labor law poster, please detach the coupon and return it in the enclosed envelope with you processing fee of $84. you can send a check or money order along with the coupon (top third of page) and keep the bottom as an official receipt.

This company sent a letter stating "Failure to comply with posting regulations can lead to fines up to $17,000.00" All reviews posted in the ScamPulse.com state that this company doesn't enforce the laws it states. The Department of labor gives the posters this company claims to sell for free..

Received notice in mail that $84 should be sent to receive labor law compliance form, otherwise face a $17,000+ fine.

See attached document (back side and envelope are also available).

Notify ScamPulse.com here that THIS BUSINESS IS CLEARLY A SCAM! They mistyped my company name, and the letter itself had multiple typos. If this were a government letter, there is no way it would have included these errors. It also would have included my EIN, which it did not. The envelope this company's "urgent warning" was sent in had no federal related markers of any kind, and had a PO BOX for its mailing. No government office I have ever worked with previously has used a PO Box. It also claimed that electronic service is requested on the envelope, and yet there was nothing in the letter that indicated anything electronic in nature. The envelope contradicts the very instructions in the letter itself. This is clearly a scam designed to scare new business owners into paying for something they can get for free at the right source. In my case, I have no employees, so I'm not obligated to have this kind of poster anyways. DO NOT BUY INTO THEM!

This is a scam please beware this Company are seeking out businesses to extort funds from new or small business. The government should prosecute this company because what they are doing is unethical and unprofessional to say the least.

LABOR LAW POSTER

I received a letter mailed to my newly established business about the requirement by federal law to post a current compliant labor law poster in the workplace. They demand a processing fee of $84.00. The letter looks very official like with barcodes and code number, however without an address on the letter. I almost fall for it until a few days later I received another letter similar to this but from a different mailer asking a different amount for processing fee for similar services. I realized that these are not legit. I hope ScamPulse.com would do something to stop these scammers.

We just started a business so, of course, we’re not certain of what to expect but I thought it was real being that we just started up and upin registering I had to pay so I didn’t think twice.

The only reason I called myself was because I wanted some clarification due to the fact that we only have one employee and he’s the company owner. But when we got on the phone, I was informed of the scam. If not for that phone call, I would’ve been out of $85

I received a letter from this business claiming that I needed to post labor law posters at my place of business to be compliant by federal law. The letter looked like an invoice. It states that they will send you the posters for $84.00 when you can get them for free from the Dept of Labor in my state. It does not state anywhere that this may be a fee for convenience. It comes across as very intimidating by stating statutes and penalties due to non-compliance. It feels as if they are preying on new business owners that may not know all the rules yet.

I attempted to contact them several times the next day, as they have no website listed on the paperwork, to get my name removed from their mailing list. Each option sends you to a recorded message, even when trying to speak with a rep. There is no opt-out info on the mailing. There is a number with a Washington, DC area code but the mailing address goes back to Houston, TX.

I have shredded the document and hope that nobody gets scammed by these illegitimate businesses. I'm crossing my fingers that I don't receive any more.

I received a letter stating that my business (i do not own a business) is out of compliance with Federal labor laws and that I need to pay $84 for a document fee to receive the Labor law poster to put in my business for employee's to view. As I stated I do not own a business.

- Mckinney, TX, USA

Received a letter stating federal law requires my LLC to post a current compliant labor law poster in the workplace to be viewed by employees; I have none. It also indicates the non-compliance risk can lead to potential fines in excess of $17,000 per instance for failure to post the mandatory poster.

Charging $84.00 to document process and provide poster within 7-10 business days.

I am glad I google the company's information and confirmed this was a scam.

This business is a SCAM and is not associated with any type of government agency. Corporate Compliance Services sends an official looking letter with important! "warnings"! telling you to "follow instructions exactly"! or else face a potential fine of $"17,000 per instance" for "non-compliance" offering to provide compliance posters.

Labor Law Compliance for $84, to send me a poster for the workplace. My biz is at home biz. I am my only employee. My stuff is handmade by me. When I google this form, it says it is a scam to get money from people. When i look up labor laws listed, they don't exist. I cannot find the sections. Your site says these posters are free when you need them.

In late October (2015) I acquired a business license (in the state of New Mexico) as a sole proprietor for the sale of ebooks online. A month or two later we started getting calls about a landscaping business in my name. Bewildered we told all such callers that no such business exists. A few days ago the following letter arrived. The lack of any official state or national seal was the first of several things we noted about this suspicious letter stating I needed to pay some labor law compliance fee.

i am a business owner where i am the only employee. i received a letter in the mail stating i needed to pay a fee of 84 dollars or possibly face a $17000 fine from the government for not filing/posting a labor law poster at my place of business.the $84 dollar fee is supposed to be a filing fee,and cover the cost of the poster and shipping...luckily i read the reverse side of this bogus scammer;s letter that states they are merely solicitors with no affiliation to any government entity.the letter also states you can obtain a poster from the government for free. I work hard for what i have obtained, and proud to be a reputable, responsible business owner.
