They said I owed Ace Cash Express from something 11 years ago. I called Ace Cash today and they said I never took out a loan. This company is a scam, and was verbally abusive. Please check into their practices.

Cornerstone legal group contacted me by mail and said I had an outstanding payday loan in the amount due of $1,000. Said I can pay online or over phone. Never gave me an address. They never answered their phones and following week they sent a letter stating to pay $395.00 to guarantee avoiding lawsuit and charges against me. I have not had a payday loan in over 10 years! I paid it and got a email and a text notification stating it was a closed account and this stuff never turned up on my credit report. Which I monitor weekly.. they have a fake website tolcg.com... do not fall for it. Statue of limitations are 7 years..

I received a letter in the mail of a second notice of a civil lawsuit notification complaint filing. They claim I took a payday loan out with the "malicious intent to commit fraud" and If I did not pay the amount in full by the due date in the letter a subpoena would be issued for me to show up in my local municipal court. The civil ruling could result in wage garnishment, lien against my personal property or bank account, negative report on my credit and I would also be responsible for the full balance, attorneys fees, court costs, and back interest.

The letter looks official, even states people as witnesses they will force to testify against you if you let it go to court.

1. I have never heard of the pay day loan company they claim I used.

2. The employer they say I was working for at the time of the loan I have not worked for in almost 20 years.

3. The amount they say I took the pay day loan for is more than my state allows for a pay day loan.

4. The fraud they claim I committed was closing a bank account just after taking the loan. I have only closed 1 bank account in my life and it was several years after I stopped working for the employer they stated I was working for at the time.
