Targets student loan borrowers and tries to "help" them consolidate their loans for a fee. NEVER pay to consolidate your loans. I learned the hard way. Beware of a man David Correa, from what I know he's the one facilitating this scam.

I was sent a letter in the mail thinking it was from the Federal Student Aid office offering to consolidate my loans. However it was cornerstone docprep to scam me out of $1700, steal my social security number, hack into my FSA account AND take my banking info. I thought they were setting me up to consolidate my student loans with the federal student aid but they were not doing anything except taking everything I had. They hacked into my FSA account to make themselves seem legit and told me they needed $1700 as a fee to consolidate my loans. Unfortunately, I fell for this and provided my bank info. They sent me some documents and hung up as I was reviewing these documents I noticed that my ssn was on them and I never gave it to them. I knew then I made a huge mistake. I called the number off the FSA site and they confirmed my account was compromised and disabled my account. I then had to call the police to file a complaint that my ssn was taken, call all three credit bureaus to freeze my credit and I had to freeze my bank account. Thank god I realized I made a mistake within minutes or else I could have lost everything. But I will still have to deal with all of this for years to come every time I want to get another student loan, credit card, lease a car or get a mortgage. STAY FAR AWAY!!!
