A company stating to be CRS or Core Recovery Systems has called my mother in-law and husband's place of employment stating that he owes money for a payday loan which we never took out. They are threatening to serve papers and take him to court. They have threatened that the messages left are an official court notice, and they said that if my husband does not call back within three days, he will not be able to resolve out of court, but if he calls now, he can arrange payment. They called from 563-231-2627. When I contacted them, they wouldn't tell me the name of the business or the address and wanted me to give them my name and social in order to look up my account. When I told them that I would be reporting them to the BBB and FTC, they hung up on me.
