Similar thing happened to me except "Craig" sent me a cashier's check for $2900 (which was likely fake) and told me to put it into my bank account for computer equipment he was going to have shipped to me from a "vendor". The following day once the funds were in my account he said I would need to get a cashier's check from my bank and deposit into his "vendors" account at another bank. This is a TOTAL SCAM. The address he gives for Corbin Architecture is fake. There is no such company at 224 Datura St., West Palm Beach, FL 33401. Additionally, www.corbinarchitecure.com at first glance appears legit but look closely and you can see those are stock pictures. He uses two email addresses. [email protected] & [email protected]. Beware.

I applied for a position online for a Front Desk Receptionist. Someone named Craig reached out to me via email forwarding the email he received from the recruitment website telling him that I have applied for the job. He asked for my phone number, and then he randomly called me that day without scheduling a prior time. He interviewed me on the phone for his personal assistant position, very faint voice but still seemed legitimate. He asked me to fill out a form on his website to confirm the application process. I did this, it didn't ask for any other personal information that wasn't my address, which is on my resume anyway. The next day he texts me and asked if I received the email he sent me. The email stated that I was extended the job and that I was to start in 3 days. This was for a full time position, with compensation being $1400 weekly. I let him know that I would have to wrap things up at my other job first and he let me know that I could easily work both jobs. He asked me to sign the job offer, and there was a page where I was meant to fill out my bank account and routing number. I was instantly weirded out by this so I let him know I was "switching bank accounts" so I could buy myself some time to investigate further. He told me that he would mail me a W-4 form in the mail, as this was a remote job. He has a legitimate-looking website, I reverse image searched all of his projects and didn't find much, but still was not convinced this wasn't a scam. I read an article with red flags about fraudulent businesses and realized this was 100% a scam and told him not to contact me again. He just got away with my full name and address, so not much harm done since that is very easily accessed information regardless.
