I had rcvd a call from a blocked number, from a man who asked for me by my name. After I said, speaking, the man identified himself as Sean Richardson from the Cook Cnty Processing & Serving Division. (No such Dept exists within the Cook Cnty Sheriff's Office, bcuz I called and I vrfyd this fact). Sean said that he has a sealed envelope for me from a company called S&L Litigation. I asked Sean what this was about. Instead of Sean asking for my location so that I could be served with the envelope, Sean offered to give me the name, telephone number and File# for my case, so that I could call S&L Litigation and find out what this is about. I asked Sean if there is a phone number that I could call to confirm that he is who he said he is. Sean said no, his dept doesn't have customer service. I took down the company's name and phone number, along with the file number, but I have no intention of calling this "company". I know that this is a scam. Sean sounded very much like a man who had started calling me last year around this time. The calls from last year were attempts to serve me with "paperwork filed in my county", to which I always said to send me any paperwork thru the U.S. Mail. Of course I never did receive anything, and those calls stopped around last Fall. I guess it's time to start again with last year's unsuccessful scams. What a waste of time.
