On April 8th, 2016, a technician from Dish Network came to the house to install the new dish. His name was Donnie (Donald) Diaz. He was here for quite a long time and got talking to us about our television and asked how old it was. We told him it was 17 years old and we were planning on buying a new one. He described the television he could get us as well as a sound system to make it seem like sitting in a theater. We agreed to have him purchase equipment for us and I gave him a check for $2,262.43. When I called the Bank of The West, I saw he had cashed the check the same day. He said the equipment would be delivered in 10 to 15 days and he would install it for us as well. The equipment never arrived. I called his cell phone number numerous times. First, he said the equipment purchase and installation was delayed because it was a Samsung and they were in great demand. We contacted him numerous times and his story kept changing. After about 3 months, he explained that he had been transferred to California and had the television with him and would send it to us when he got settled. Again we waited. Then he informed us that he could not do that and said the television was at his home in Tucson, AZ in the storage shed. The next call several months later again he told us that one of his men was coming back to Tucson in about 5 weeks and he had given him the key to the storage shed. Now we thought it would be settled. After another 6 weeks I called again and was informed that the guy who he had given him my telephone number, my address and the key had disappeared and Donnie assumed he had gone to Mexico.
