I was contacted through indeed/email for a job interview, I did the interview and I was given the position. I was sent the formal employment offer via email and they said the original was shipped to me. After being hired, they told me that they would be sending me a cashiers check so I could start buying office supplies (Because they are a Canadian company that is opening an office in Miami) the check arrived today October 28th and they told me to deposit it in my personal account to disburse the funds from there. I proceeded to do that. The cashier's check was from HSBC and I deposited it into my HSBC account. after the deposit they contacted me so as to establish an eWallet account, this is when I began to suspect that this was a scam. I called HSBC to notify them.
