I was contacted by a Nancy Williams that was looking to donate a Kawai RX-2 Grand Piano. She had a whole story about how she was moving and her husband had died and had taken good care of it. I was then contacted by email by a David's Moving Co. who gave me options on moving pricing. They only accepted payment through Cashapp, Zelle, or a wire transfer. I chose the wire transfer and did it for the cheapest moving option. They then contacted me again stating that Nancy had said that I was to pay the extra storage fee. I did that and they gave me a arrival date. 7 days later they contacted me again trying to get me to pay 10% of the insurance cost of the moving of the piano. I became extremely suspicious at this point and looked the moving company up online. I called the number and immediately the real David's Moving Co. in Missouri answered and as soon as I stated the piano he informed me that it was a scam that he has been dealing with. He has already reported it to the FBI and is going after them as well because they are using his business name. It appears that Nancy and the moving company are either the same person or just part of the same scam.
