First got a call by some agent at consumer protection bureau telling me I had won a national sweepstakes in the amt. of 1.2 million dollars. He gave me a phone # to a Federal warehouse that he told me I needed to contact, and gave me a tracking #, and also a phone # to Citibank so the funds in the acct. could be verified. Apparently the winnings came from a TB Bank. I then called the 18669784714# and was told I was contacting the Los Angeles International Airport Federal Storage.. He said I had won the 1.2 million through sweepstakes and promotions based out of Henderson Nevada Las Vegas and it was related to casinos, lotteries and sweepstakes. He said something to the effect of having certified cashiers check, w2g and 1099G tax extension forms that needed to be sent to IRS, congratulation notices and a secondary Insurance notice. He told me after i filled out notices I would recieve my pkg. delivered by Brinks Armored truck to my address which he had.. He then told me I needed to contact another person at Consumers protection due to the fact that the sweepstakes company could not get ahold of me I needed to register through consumer protection and due to security protocol( Declaration of Funds through Patriot Act) in order to receive award I needed to submit a refundable deposit of 1% of prize which would be $1200.00 and this was done through state attorney and i would get a receipt from a federal office. Apparently this agent(I will not name) with consumer protection assigns state attorney and receipt comes through him. At this point I contacted the Bbb and the agent I spoke with told me about your scam tracker. I hope this helps someone else avoid being scammed.
