Cory from Consumer collections (414-420-2006) called on June 10, 2020 and then again on July 22, 2020 stating I owe a bill of $346.55. They are a debt collections agency and this was a courtesy call to pay my bill from US Diagnostic Lab...they test your blood for disease and stuff, I was told. If I pay them the money immediately no further action will be taken. I asked for a copy of the statement and they wouldn't provide it. In June they said they would mail it to me and once they did that they would notify the credit agency’s to report this collection. I never received anything. When they called today I told them I knew they were fraudulent because I was out of town the date in which they said the services were rendered (April 17, 2018). Then he told me to prove it. Then hung up on me. So I called back and told them they were a bunch of scammers and not to contact me anymore. They said that they will be reporting me to the credit agencies and hung up. They also called me "J" which seemed odd since they didn't have my full first name. I'm sure they bought a list from somewhere and that’s what they are using as their database to scam people. After the original call I contacted my insurance company to see if they had any filings for April 17, 2018. there was nothing on or even around that date. Don’t fall for it. I just filed a complaint with The Federal Trade Commission as well.
