I was trying to purchase a product utilizing a no interest payment plan. They requested pretty personal information. date of birth and the last 4 digits of my SS. They said they would have to run a credit check for their payment plan. Also- the plan was supposed to be $12 a month for the product -with no interest plus the price of monthly service - $40. I am also an AARP member and was supposed to get a AARP discount. When I hit purchase - the amount was $39 /month for the product and $50 for the service. I got a message saying that my credit was denied and that I could purchase with a credit card for the full amount. I then called Consumer Cellular ( which took two days to get a call back. When I explained my experience- the rep said he could fix the payment- but I could not use the payment plan because Equifax said that my credit was "frozen". If I wanted to purchase the product I could do so with a credit card- but not with the payment plan. I contacted Equifax and there is nothing wrong with my credit status or rating! They lied!

I was making a call to my consumer cellular company regarding bill 888-345-5510 did not realize i dialed 888-348-5510 I was discussing my bill then the man stated he needed to verify some information from me, SS: DB: Address: last 4 of MC by the time i realized this was a scam it was to late. I have now been sent multiple magazines and other items. I have canceled everything from bank accounts to credit cards. BE AWARE 888-348-5510 is a SCAM!!!!!
