We found a vehicle on line that we like and contacted the company via email. They responded back telling us to go to https://consigncarsforsale.com to view the inventory #****** to begin the purchase process. When reading the process, it seemed odd that they only would accept a wire transfer into an escrow account under the name of SM Express Delivery, LLC out of Miami, FL. So, in an attempt to make sure this wasn't a scam, I verified the address of the Chase Bank and even called to speak to a representative. With the information provided on the invoice, I asked the representative to verify this was a valid account that was in good standing. The confirmed that it was. We felt that we had done due diligence and initiated a wire transfer from our bank in the amount of $7300 on NOV 10, 2022. The company verified the wire transfer has been made and according to the Bill of Lading they provided, the vehicle was to be delivered to us on NOV 18, 2022 between 3:30 and 6:30 pm. This was the last communication we had with the company and they have never since responded via e-mail, inquiry vi their website or answered the phone number provided. We called Chase Bank in Miami to alert them of the issue and I was transferred to their security/fraud department where the representative took all the information I had. The representative thanked me for the information, suggested I call our bank and that I should consider contacting the FBI while they initiate an internal investigation. I then called my bank to ask that the wire be recalled. They initiated the recall and informed me that the money would only be returned if the party who received it approved the return of the funds. To this date we have no received our funds back and it appears the company has taken down their website

I found a car on a website and sent a message asking if the car was still available and received this info explaining how to proceed if I wanted to purchase the car. An agent provided me the stock number because the order required a stock number (provided by the company) in order to place the order.

The vehicle is located and stored in one of our warehouses in Philadelphia, PA and can be purchased directly from us. Because delivery is free to any buyer, we list the vehicles in several locations to have more visibility.

The link had the register area bolded and when I clicked it opened up for me to register where I was able to order the car showing I was a serious buyer. I got a phone call from ************ and the agent told me I would need to provide a wire transfer proof of funds sent by my Bank before they could ship the car. I asked the agent for their company EIN information and she refused, I then asked for the automobile VIN and she refused to provide that even after I expressed concern of sending funds and have no way to verify her company or the automobile were legitimate. She then hung up on me and I sent a email on the company page expressing my concern and asking for the automobile VIN number and haven't gotten a response.

The payment would be going to the invoiced Business (in the attachment) which shows a Location in Miami Florida and further online research shows they have only been in business since May of 2022
