Phony Credit Card with $*** credit in my and corporate name offered for activation. I recognized it as a scam.

- New York, NY, USA

I just received an unsolicited credit card from Connector Capital.

Today I got a card from Connector Capital with my nickname that I did use when booking a band some years ago, but that alone is suspicious. The paper says the line of credit is for $*** and I am supposed to call to activate the card, but, of course, I won't. It says I am a member since 03/18 and that it expires 04/18! Ha-ha, pretty crazy!

Sent unsolicited credit card with $*** limit.

Connector Capital sent an unsolicited credit card to a person not employed at our Island Commodities Corp subsidiary located at *** *** *** *** ** ***. The credit card had an available credit of $*** along with a number to call to activate the card. The card was issued to *** ***. No one at our subsidiary in Hawaii nor at the Corporate office in Vernon, CA applied for the credit card.

- Tucson, AZ, USA

The credit card to be activated looked legit but I was not familiar with the company name. I looked online and found that ScamPulse.com had identified this as a scam. No harm since we did not call or try to activate the card.

- Roanoke, VA, USA

This company sent an unsolicited credit card to our church. It showed an old employee's name and their department, with a $*** credit limit and had a "call now to activate" sticker. It looks VERY similar to what we receive when we legitimately open a new card with Bank of America, so I could see how some people may fall for this.

Rec'd actual credit card with activation phone number. The card was not requested by our business or owner. I assume that this is not only fraud, but because the actual card was mailed and could have been activated by anyone, mail fraud. Someone need to do something about this kind of effort by criminals.

unsolicited credit card with $*** limit

- Alpharetta, GA, USA

I received an actual credit card that I did not request or authorize. It was mailed to my address with my name and company name on it. The enclosed letter said it has a credit limit of $***. I have never had any credit card with such a high limit. I am highly suspicious of a credit card that was not applied for with a high limit. It had a legit looking sticker to activate the card, but I did not call or go online to do so. I am concerned about what info the company may have.

Received a legitimate-looking credit card in the mail with a very high available credit limit. It was made out in the name of a person who no longer works here plus the name of the company.

- Sonora, CA, USA

Received unsolicited "credit card" with my name and business name embossed on the card with what appears to be a complete credit card number. Said I have been a member since 2/18. (I've never heard of them before.) Curiously, this card also is valid only through 3/18. Shows 0.00% interest rate in BIG print. I could't even read the tiny print that said that was for 90 days. (My son with better vision caught that.) Nothing about this seems even remotely legitimate. Besides, I could never qualify for a credit limit like that. Buyer Beware!!!

- Westwood, MA, USA

I received an unsolicited credit card in my name via postal mail with a $*** credit limit. The letter indicated I should call 844-776-9613 to activate the card. A quick internet search and call to LifeLock confirmed that this is a common scam to try to get individuals to sign up for a card with a very high balance, which is not good for your credit score. This company has been it at for years, and has changed names x3. Lifelock advised is handling this as identity theft and advised a freeze on my credit until it is sorted out.

I was sent an unsolicited credit card for a business that I had closed 5 years ago. It has a ***$ credit limit.

They mailed me an unsolicited credit card in name and my business name, with a $*** limit, ready for activation. I've never heard of this company, and have never applied for this card.

Received notice to activate credit card that I had not applied for.

- Orchard Park, NY, USA

Sent card in mail saying activate now for *** limit. SCAM!

Unsolicited credit card. Many BBB complaints.

I received a new card activation that was not solicited with a credit line of $***. I was asking me to activate the card by phone or online.

- Evergreen, CO, USA

Unsolicited credit card with high credit limit.

My name & my wife's business name is embossed on the card, against FTC Regulations for unsolicited credit offers.

Do not activate this card, by phone or online. It will affect your credit rating. It is a phishing scheme.
