I received flashing message on my computer advising that the system was locked with a trojan virus via Microsoft and to call a toll-free number for technical assistance. I believed to be Microsoft and made the call. They requested information regarding my email address. I spoke with a technical support person who offered information on what they could and would do to assist me. They then presented 3 Firewall packages, Basic for 3 years, another package for 5 years and another package for life. I purchased the Basic package for 3 years support in the amount of $299.85 including Anti-Malware $99.95, Password Shield $79.95 and Secure Root $119.95. They then transferred me to a supervisor who confirmed the purchase and processed the payment. He then transferred me to technical support, they remoted into my computer and installed their Firewall. Payment has not been processed yet by my credit card company. I've already contacted my credit card company, they have closed my account and will dispute the charges. Microsoft has fixed my computer my clearing this scam system. The scam company was Connected-Pros.com. Azure Blue Media LLC in Cottonwood, UT was somehow connected to this Connected-Pros.com.
