This was sent over via our fax machine, and I spoke with a man named DXXXX WXXXXn who talked about the special deal that was being promoted. He said they are affiliated with Expedia and went on to talk about how they only have two package deals left. One package for two people, and another for two to six people. I thought the deal was amazing and so I went ahead and "booked" the two to six person package deal. The final price after taxes and fees came to be $349.00. He asked for my full name, address, email address, and credit card. He never asked for my DOB, but when I was transferred to a "biller" he for some reason mentioned my exact age. I didn't catch it at the time, but after I got off the phone I became suspicious. I realized too that my confirmation email did not come right away, which is typically the case with Expedia. I asked my manager about the promotion that was received and she told me that those are not real--they are not from our HR Department as stated at the top left-hand corner. I called my credit card company soon after. I also called Expedia to "confirm" any existing bookings under my name/email/phone number--they had no records of any vacation package deals.
