My computer screen was blocked by a warning that my network was being compromised by illegal actions. When you call the number, they made me believe it and I let them "take over" my computer. When they asked for a sizeable amount of money to "fix" the problem, I got suspicious and started looking online on my phone while I was talking to the "tech" and saw that this was probably a scam. I hung up, turned off the computer and denied the changes to my computer. Hopefully, nothing bad happened, but I'll be calling a reputable techie here in town. I could hear a bunch of others talking in the background, like a room full of marketers. I haven't turned it back on yet, so I hope nothing's wrong with my computer. Ugh!
