The freight company Companion Express or Companion Logistics Express doesn't exist anywhere but their website. I contacted the Department of Transportation and via a database search was unable to locate Companion Express or Companion Logistics Express. The DOT stated the reported freight company doesn't have an active license or was listed at the DOT. I called similar companies and was reported to me that they'd received multiple fraud complaints about Companion Express passing themselves off as a legitimate freight company. In fact, this Companion Express freight company passes themselves off as experts in shipping pets, but in my case it was supposed to be a pinball machine. After receiving an email from [email protected] demanding a freight insurance fee of $900.00, I started my fraud investigation. I even contacted the company via their email address twice without a response and finally their website chat feature. Unfortunately, the person that responded refused to provide any contact information even after I challenged them about their website contact info being inactive and possibly fraudulent. The company sent me a picture of the supposed crated pinball machine which differed greatly from the picture sent by what turns out to be a fraudulent Pin Ball Company. When I pressed for current contact information, the only response I received was, "either pay us the $900.00, or we'll sell your Pinball Machine". The tracking information is a scam, the bill of lading is a scam and the Pinball Company, Pinball Fun Mania, and/or Pinball Mania at funarcademania on Instagram is also a scam. Both the fake pinball company and fake freight company are working in alliance to defraud buyers.
