2.) Received 2 days later a USPS Priority Mail with an envelope with a instructions and check made out in my name in the amount of $1,597.00 from a Federal Credit Union named as Ferguson Federal Credit Union at address 1026 East Broad St. Monticello, MS 39654.
3.) The instructions are that I am supposed to go to a Walmart and buy an item under $50 and note the cleanliness and professionalism of the cashier, the speed of the transaction. Noe the name of the cashier and if they say welcome to Walmart.- Note from all my experience checking out at a Walmart at various locations not once was I ever greeted by a cashier in this manner to me this was already a read flag.
4.) The second part (this made no sense to me) is utilizing the MoneyGram service at Walmart by transfer $1227.00 with $20.00 in transfer charges included. send all this info to the following name and location: Wilson Roach Atlanta, Georgia 30354.- My problem is why is there not an actual mailing address...another reg flag considering the amount money being transferred.
5.) You supposed to take all this info including pictures of your Walmart receipt and money transfer receipt and send this info via text to 605-496-9125- another red flag if this was a professional organization why would I be just texting all this info to a phone number?
6.) They also are very animate that not to use Walmart2Walmart transaction only MoneyGram Money Transfer.- using this service will not allow you any recourse to recover your money should the transaction fail.
7.) the other red flag to this, is the mailing label was hand cut from a sheet of paper. I peeled off the label and on the back side of the label is another scam with similar info but in the partial label shows Western Union that is completely different from what was initially sent to me whereas they were not utilizing western Union in the transaction.
