I applied for a loan online. I got a phone call from a man w/an accent calling himself David Fisher from Community Choice Financial. He said I was approved for a loan up to $10,000. He said I would have to buy gift cards to pay Social Security. He stayed on the phone with me when I went to 7/11 and Publix Grocery Store off Golden Gate Blvd to buy Google Play Cards. I bought a $100 card from 7/11 and a $150 and $200 from Publix Grocery Store. He told me that if the clerks asked me anything about the cards, I was to say it was personal but the clerks didn't ask me why I was buying the cards. He told me to scratch off the backs, and send him pictures of the backs of the gift cards. I did. Then he told me the money was being deposited into Western Union. And I needed to send him an additional $200 to activate the deposit. He asked for an additional $200 through Western Union to get an additional $8000. I said no and asked for a refund. He said he would send a refund. Since then, he doesn't answer the phone. I'm on Social Security, and I had the money on my debit card.
