I received 2 calls from a private number. The female caller on the phone stated she was Ashley from Comenity Bank calling for my mother (using her full name) with my personal mobile number listed as a possible contact number on the account. I told her that cannot be true. I confirmed my mom's name, but no other personal information about her, nor any personal contact information. Ashley asked to leave a message with me to pass along to my mom, and I stated I would take her message to find out what this issue entailed. Ashley continued stating that it was in regards to a personal business matter in relation with a Victoria's Secret Account which their Comenity Bank credits those particular accounts for Credit Cards. I constantly repeated to Ashley that my mom doesn't have an account with Comenity Bank, nor Victoria's Secret, nor any credit cards. I told her that her number was coming up private, and she didn't know why that was happening. I asked Ashley when was this supposed accounts were opened, and she wouldn't share it with me because I'm a 3rd party. Instead, she stated that my mom had to call her back at 1-800-695-7444 extension 1514266 to sort this matter back. I told her I will pass the message. I Googled searched the number she provided, and found many other complaints against this number reported as a scam/fraud, debit collection scam, fraudulent legal action etc. Hence, I'm reporting this fraud.
