On November 2 2022, person claiming to be Joseph Lin Sr. a Comcast Tech Support person, ID #21920 called to tell me that he was working to prevent a "HACKING ACTIVITY & IDENTITY THEFT" Case ID #CDJRPS5852MWZ. He stated that I needed to purchase a "ULTRAVIEWER" for $500.00. He showed me on my computer his alleged information and told me I needed to purchase this piece of equipment and would have an installer named Rebecca Denver ID #CX456372 would install this item at my home that day, after I prepaid him 500.00$. He had taken over my computer and ran a speed test, after which he stated "your WiFi speed is too slow, and that I would need to purchase a special cable for my router at the cost of $1500.00 prepaid. at that time I became very concerned, so I called Comcast directly to check this. Comcast stated that they would not call asking for money paid in advance for this type of service and this was a scam.
