My phone rang, the person said they called from Comcast. The caller ID didn't match. They tell me they are losing business and trying new prices to get new customers, they have been trying this method for five days. He transfer me to a supervisor that tells me all these great things about lowering my bill, but I needed to go to target to get a 350 gift card to cover my first two months. I thought it was strange. I called back later and the line no longer worked.

On Facebook someone advertised a work from home data entry job. When you contact them, they referred you to google hangouts app with a code to give you for an interview. They email was [email protected]. After an interview process they ask you for all your personal information. It became clear as your getting into that this is a scam.

"Comcast" called and said my network was being hacked and used by outside entities and then tried to gain access to my lap-top through a third party website that would have allowed another computer to take over my computer. I realized right away that comcast would never use a third party to gain access to my computer. and hung up and called comcast immediately. I also contacted verizon to inform them.
