On July 17 Target called number linked to Comcast on Google Search. Call recipient pretending to be Comcast offered discount voucher called GLAMCREST to pay discounted Comcast bill. Number called was 855-985-7579. Scammer left phone number of 516-715-7744 for target to call back if technician not sent to home. Scammer then called back today on that same number 516-715-7744 to inquire whether technician was sent. Target confirmed with COMCAST that these people had no connection with COMCAST. Target took much personal id info including credit card info and subsequently charged $200 to credit card. Target discerned almost immediately that this was a scam and notified credit card company. Credit card company has temporarily rescinded the charge and it remains unclear whether scammer will get this money but certain got much personal info.

I called Xfinity to see if they could lower my bill. Nick Johnson told me he could give me a discount of $43.48 so my Comcast bill for June would be $200 vs. $243.48. This was a scam. Comcast does not know this person.

They advertised a data entry clerk position with Comcast. I gave them some of my information and then they wanted me to get a visa prepaid card with 200 dollars on it to continue…saying it was for getting my computer delivered from the company. I found my information was used on the dark web after texting with them on Telegram.

Peter Wilson - Comcast technical dept 701-587-7747 dex contact number (calling from North Dakota employee# 1995ep7i)

Called my work number @ 10:30 AM Pacific time telling me I was having issues with my internet. I don't have Comcast service but they had my correct name and home address. They had an email address that hasn't been used for over 10 years.

When I told them I don't have Comcast service and believed it to be a scam they argued with me. Then I ended the call and they just kept calling back from the 701-587-7477. I could hear another in the background making the same calls to others. First number was blocked and appeared to come from Bothell, WA which is where my office is.
