My friend’s Facebook account was cloned and verified by my friend because the scammer used an old photo. The scammer contacted me first on Sunday, March 24, 2018, via Facebook Messenger “Are you there?”, and then went on to indicate he had received $50,000 from a government grant and didn’t have to pay it back. That is when I realized it wasn’t my friend and deleted the Messenger conversation. Today, March 27, 2018, I received another message from the scanner “Are you there?” , which is the way the first conversation started on March 24, 2018. Today I did not respond and, hence this report!!!
