I responded to a Research Remote position email from my university. They directed you to contact the professor by email. I exchanged many emails with this person about my credentials, background check, position etc. They later told me that I had received clearance from HR and I they would set up an in person meeting, but I could start getting the office supplies. They lured me to deposit a fake check in my account saying a sales person would contact me for directions on how to purchase the supplies.
