Type of a scam Advance Fee Loan
I responded to a Craigslist ad via text in search of a business loan. The scammer claim to be able to provide any sums of money with minimal info and all via text.
I asked for an address to verify the business to which he provided 1852 Madison St Suite E, Clarksville, TN. Using Google maps i could confirm the building was abandon or closed.
I continued to see what the scammer's end goal would be. But before confirming I did provide a copy of my driver's license along with work address and DOB. I provided him with a fake SSN and he approved me for a loan and asked that send them a "refundable disbursement fee" which could be as low as $200 in order process my funding.
I ended the conversation immediately after. Just wanted to report.
