I placed an ad on FB marketplace. I immediately got interest. The person asked to verify me to ensure I was not a scammer " just like the comments say online after I searched the attempt". I responded with the code they requested. Then I noticed that my post look different. I mentioned the experience to my wife who looked it up and realized we were being scammed. That the designed scam was to claim my number and use it to scam others.
