Coconut Club Vacations Reports & Reviews (9)

I haven’t heard of the name coconut travel club and then I received a mail with no date saying I need to pay my outstanding balances… they said their services have been continued by sending me weekly newsletters which I never received. Never heard of this name …if they changed it , they should have informed the clients. No letters received from them except this one.. I saw in the BBB review this company has a lot of same complaints … they’re trying to scare people to pay their debts … what debts? If a client has not renewed their dues , that’s means your serve is bad , and just terminate their membership … not bombard them with letters , forcing them to pay their debts …this needs to stop . I believe in karma …

I've been receiving this letter also. I reported it to the BBB. I'm not paying for a service I have never used or heard of.

I just got a letter from coconut club saying I owe past due fees.We in error sign up over 10 years ago and never used there service {found out we could pay the same if we did it are self's,the cruise they offered was not free} never received a new letter they said they sent. They want over $1000. We will not pay this scam! Anyone have info on being contacted by collection agent?

I have been receiving notices from them, I never used the club before, I don't even recognize the name. I reported them to the BBB. A lot of people have reported them.

Joined Coconut Club Vacations for $5,000 in 2014 - huge mistake. Recently received calls, emails and text messages stating we owe them past annual fees from 2018-2021 to the tune of more than $1,000. WE NEVER USED THEIR SERVICE! And when we were called to renew our membership in years past, we declined and asked to have our account closed because we could travel cheaper without their services. They are now threatening to continue our "annual" fees unless we pay them in full. We have no intent to pay for "no services rendered".

We paid $5000,00 for our membership in 2014 and NEVER used their services because we found we could save money booking ourselves. We thought we had successfully terminated our relationship (calls from their service department started in 2018 asking us to re-up our membership - which we always declined and asked to terminate our scam membership.) They stopped emailing offers at that point with no further communications until now. Recently they have started calling and messaging us to get us to pay the dues we "owe" them (over $1,000 for past annual dues for the last 4 years) and are telling us we cannot terminate our account without payment in full. And they are threatening to continue cultivating more annual dues until we pay up. We are choosing to ignore their calls and threats. We have no intent of paying these thieves a penny more! These scammers need to be shut down!

We paid $6000,00 for our membership, took one cruise they offered and then decided we could have done better booking it oursselves. We thought we had successfully terminated our relationship when they stopped emailing offers. That was several years ago. Recently they have started calling to get us to pay the dues we "owe" them for the last 4 years and are threatining us with a collection agency. We are choosing to ignore there calls and threats. Since we don't need or use credit, we don't really need to worry about our credit score.

I had never heard of the Coconut Club before this week. I received a past due notice from them claiming I have a contract with them and I am delinquent for the past 10 years since I have not paid my annual dues. I have never heard of this club, so have not done any business with them. At this point I have ignored their "Final Attempt" notice. I am not going to send them any money, but beyond this, I have no idea what else I can do in case they persist to send me letters demanding I pay them. I have done some research on this club and have not found one good thing anyone has to say about them. They are not reputable in the BBB. This is obviously a scam to scare people and get their money. I would love to know what I can do about this.

A scam which promises a free vacation if you sit in a 90-min sales presentation. The presentation is for a travel club which promises deep discounts to members in return for 8995.00 memberships. They offer you discounted memberships (6995.00 and down all the way to 2500.00) for different variations of club membership and benefits. These offers are only good if you surrender your credit card and pay on the spot for the membership.

There are dozens if not hundreds of these 'clubs' selling memberships around the country. They claim to have been in business for more than 30 years, but a quick Google search shows that they just opened FB pages and websites 4 months ago. They prevent you from finding out this information ahead of time by never telling you the same company name, and advertising as local familiar entities. The one we attended originally claimed to be a ribbon cutting ceremony for the Golden Nugget Casino (a very well know regional location). I have found several that are operating under a holdings company called WSW Holdings. They also branch themselves out into "ISO companies or Independent Sales Offices" to further confuse potential targets and divert legal action. The ISO listed on our paperwork is called Ultimate Excursions. The fine print on the documents relieves Coconut club of any liability for any promises made by Ultimate Excursions and relieves WSW holding from any liability for any of the services delivered by Coconut Club Vacations.

In the end we paid 3995.00 to a company that was never mentioned in the advertising or the presentation and then were unable to call back the numbers from the service representatives or call the "24-hr concierge" number. So, we went back to the casino where they are STILL selling memberships and asked for a refund. They refused and claimed to be legitimate. We called security and the police, but no one will stop the scam presentations.

What is more, my parents attended a later session of the same presentation and did not buy. They got the voucher for the free travel that was promised. The free vacation is NOT free and actually requires you to mail in a check just to "activate" the program. It also states that there will be additional fees and surcharges and restrictions applied to all flights and vacations.
